This pivotal role is responsible for providing sustenance to manuhuri visiting Aotearoa New Zealand’s most significant site as well as the local community.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating a welcoming Café environment with excellent food and service
  • Overseeing the F&B component of Waitangi’s signature Hāngi and Concert product
  • Managing a young and enthusiastic Café team
  • Promoting a culture of continual learning and improvement
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Café
  • Ensuring staff adhere with company policies, procedures and all related food, health & safety compliance requirements

What you’ll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga

This permanent minimum 30hr role is suited to someone who is passionate about manaakitanga and who would relish the challenge of contributing to an amazing experience at this stunning location. (Note: From October – April this is a full time role).

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have 2-3yrs experience managing a busy Café environment
  • Take pride in and have a commitment to excellent food and service standards
  • Have good leadership & communication skills
  • Enjoy developing and leading a young team.
  • Have flexible working hours, including weekends and weekdays.
  • Hold a valid Duty Manager Certificate

About the Role:
As an Educator, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging education programmes that align with the New Zealand Curriculum | Te Marautanga o Aotearoa, Te Aho Matua, Te Whariki and reflect the spirit of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You’ll contribute to EOTC-funded initiatives, support public programmes for ākonga (students), and engage adult learners through innovative and relevant educational experiences that foster deeper understanding and connection. Key Responsibilities:

Are you passionate about sharing te ao māori with the world? This is a fantastic opportunity to join our kapa haka rōpu, Te Pito Whenua, and perform at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds on a short-term basis.

We need a tāne guitar hero on a fixed-term part-time (approx 25hrs per week) basis between August - March

Must:

  • Play guitar competently & quick to learn
  • Be available to start mid- late August
  • Enjoy sharing their knowledge and stories through performance to a wide range of audiences (schools, ambassadors, ministers, tourists etc)
  • Have previous experience in kapa haka
  • Be engaging & confident
  • Be available to work weekends and some evenings (Oct - March)
