Be drawn into tales of adventure, conflict, love and loss, taonga, natural phenomena, community issues and dreams for the future. View stunning artworks and 3D objects, some at a virtual reality station, others using a QR code on your phone, or sit back and watch digital stories and animations unfold all around you. You can view the exhibition from November 8th – December 8th 2019 in our temporary exhibition gallery.
The exhibition celebrates over one year of innovative digital learning, with Waitangi Treaty Grounds working in partnership with Te Papa, Auckland Museum and MTG Hawke’s Bay to reach those with limited digital learning opportunities. The Raranga Matihiko programme teaches digital technologies through culturally relevant context and in a cross curricular approach. Students bring their own stories and topics when they participate in the programme onsite and are inspired by museum taonga and local knowledge to use digital technologies to share stories in creative and meaningful ways, as seen in this rich exhibition.
