You’re spoiled for choice at Waitangi Treaty Grounds, with diverse venue options that celebrate the significance and spirit of the Waitangi site.

 Our newest event space, Tahuaroa Function Centre, has a capacity of 190 attendees and is all about the wow factor. Translating to ‘large open space’, this modern and customisable venue is perfect for the whole team to mix and mingle amongst the contemporary design and native tree backdrop. Wrap-around covered decking and private courtyard area allow you to maximise indoor-outdoor flow on those warm, sunny summer evenings.

 Or opt for one of our other venues – such as our premium outdoor marquee that’s perfect for alfresco events, no matter the weather. Clear walls and roofing provide a light and roomy space, serving up stunning coastal views and capturing the ambience of the Treaty Grounds. Seating up to 300 people, it’s well-suited to dress in festive décor; as your colleagues dine, dance, and admire the twilight scenery. The Whare Waka café venue is also a popular choice for evening functions.

A great party is remembered by its great food. Scrumptious catering is our speciality at Waitangi – no matter what time of day. Our on-site catering team is well-known for their fantastic menus that’ll satisfy guests of all tastes and dietary requirements.

Our Christmas menus have just been released, and include a mouth-watering array of festive flavours. Take your pick from our carvery buffet options accompanied by a range of fresh salads and vegetable sides. Be sure to add on some sweet treats to finish! Grazing boards, oyster platters and even hāngi options are also available for something a bit extra.
